Comment of the Month

Comment-of-the-Month-ButtonThis month’s Comment comes from a client on their 18-month “Where have you been?” card.  (We send these to clients when we haven’t heard from them for 18 months.  We’ll keep servicing their car, we just won’t send any more reminder notices on it.)  Anyway, Janet K. had this to say…

“Hi!  The Cobalt moved with our daughter to Washington State.  I purchased a new Subaru and the maintenance deal has covered my needs-  so far.  You have the best in the business.  I’ve just been lucky lately!”.

We sent Janet this note:  “Congratulations on your new vehicle! That explains it… when we haven’t seen a client for a while it’s often because they believe a new vehicle purchase commits them to a Dealer for service.  Not so!  Even basic factory warranties require maintenance services, but these can be performed by any qualified shop.  Extended warranties are a little more complex, but we can often service your vehicle under them as well.  If you purchased an extended warranty just give us a call and we’ll gladly review it with you.

But if you’re waiting to come back until that warranty expires, make sure you make one important visit to us before it does… let us inspect it for you.

We can inspect your vehicle for anything the Dealer may have “missed” before it goes off-warranty and becomes an expensive issue for you.  Having this “second set of eyes” is so critical I’ve enclosed a card for a free Comprehensive Inspection, our deepest, most intensive mechanical review of your vehicle.  Put it on your refrigerator and forget about it for now, but please remember to bring it to us before your warranty expires!”

Janet’s taken care of, but how about you?  Have you bought a car and haven’t been in to see us while the Dealers’ maintenance package is running out?  Come in and ask one of the Advisors for YOUR “Second Set of Eyes” before your maintenance agreement or warranty run out!

The end of the Mask Mandate at Tom Dwyer

Governor Kate Brown announced an end to Oregon’s Mask Mandate on March 11, and we were as glad to see it end as everyone else.  Well, just about everyone else, because Covid is still out there and many people for many reasons still feel most comfortable wearing a mask.  We want to protect our clients and staff and respect our clients’ wishes but it’s a fine line to walk.  We decided that CLIENTS WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS IN THE OFFICE.  Our Service Advisors will have masks at the ready, so if you’d like them to wear a mask during your visit just say so and they’ll be glad to do it.  We’ll be guided by YOU for at least a few weeks until we all get a little more confidence that Covid really is disappearing.  One way or another, it should become clearer soon.  We’ll keep you posted.

We have a couple ongoing offers you might find valuable…

Feature- CNPCarbon Neutral Program

Our company’s commitment to the environment led us to partner with Bonneville Environmental Foundation to create our Carbon Neutral Program in 2007. Client members offset the carbon production of their vehicles for one year AND save 10% on Labor Charges here at the shop! It’s a win for you AND our environment and it’s been very successful… since we instituted the program our members have prevented over 1.9 MILLION POUNDS of carbon from being dumped into our air!

RefRew Program ButtonReferral Reward Program

Year after year, referrals from our existing clients are our greatest source of new clients, so we’ve tried hard to think of some way to appropriately reward people for their referrals.  Our solution is  our Referral Reward Program, where we make donations to the non-profit group of your choice to say ‘thanks’ for your generous referrals.  Here’s how it works…

Your reviews and referrals matter

AskForReviewButtonWe are constantly grateful for the supportive and loyal clients we have developed over the years.  Your comments and appreciation keep us on the right road to providing the superior automotive service you deserve.  Your reviews and referrals are not only the highest compliments we can receive, but they’re the lifeblood of our new business.  If you like what you’ve found at Tom Dwyer Automotive Services, please tell a friend or take a minute to write a review on YelpAngieslistGoogle, or the review site of your choice. Thank you!

Latest Automotive Recalls

RecallListButtonAutomobiles are just like any other product; occasional flaws in manufacture or design can cause problems once they leave the factory.  When an issue is identified the manufacturers and government work hard to bring the vehicles back in for refit or repair, but not all recalls make the front pages.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration maintains a constantly updated list of recalls from every manufacturer.  The last month’s recalls are below, but clicking the button at right will take you to the full list at the NHTSA website.
