Drew’s Kitchen- Cilantro lime marinade

RestOfNewsletterNew Button DrewNo matter the meat, the marinade matters most!  While Drew’s favorite cilantro marinade probably won’t work as well with beef, it will make your chicken, fish, or seafood sparkle. If you’re a cilantro fan then this is a go-to marinade for any cooking you’ll do, but if you’re not don’t worry… we’ll have another recipe next month!

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Preparation:

  1. Couldn’t be simpler. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Defrost meat.  Put meat in covered container or sealable plastic bag and cover with marinade.  Refrigerate.  Allow to soak at least 12 hours.
  3. This marinade can be used immediately, refrigerated for use later in the weekend, or frozen for use anytime through the year.
