Tom’s Tidbits- The first closure of the Sellwood Bridge

Greetings!

The new year is bringing a huge change, not only to our Sellwood neighborhood but to the entire region.  The Sellwood Bridge is facing its first full closure (Jan 17th through the 24th) so the old bridge deck can be moved over to make way for the construction of the new bridge.

The new bridge is a vitally important project for Oregon, and we realize that everyone will have to put up with some inconvenience during the reconstruction.  However, we’re very nervous about the closure and its effect on our clients, and we want to do everything we can to make sure it has as little impact on your life as possible.  This month we expanded our “Sellwood Bridge Update” column into a full Feature article, giving you the best alternative routes, information on the closure and construction, and some offers we’re making to encourage you to keep using our services during this brief closure.

The other big thing this year is…last year.  This is our Year-in-Review issue where we bring together everything we shared with you in 2012.  We work very hard on Your Car Matters, and this is our chance to show off a little.  From major world events to obscure quirks of our shop, we covered it all, and I hope you find some time to flip through last year with us.

Like every year before and (I assume) every year to come, 2013 looks to be a year of hope and opportunity.  I wish you and your family all the best for this new year, and I hope you’ll continue to spend a few quality minutes with us each month at Your Car Matters.  Best of luck in 2013, and I hope to see you soon!

Take Care and Make a Great Day!
