Health Notes- Clear vision, now in an eyedrop

Presbyopia is a natural and annoying result of age and hardening of the cornea.  In the past, your options for clear sight were ‘reader’ glasses, contact lenses, or surgery, but a new option is here.  Miotic eye drops work by constricting the pupil to create a pinhole effect that increases the patient’s depth of field, improving near vision.  These new drops are described as fast-acting with long-lasting results, no decrease in distance vision, and very safe.  Allergan’s Vuity is the first to hit the market, but more are on the way.  If magic vision drops seem interesting to you, here’s some information to get you started.  (You may need to pull out those cheater glasses to read it!)
