Tom Dwyer year in review 2025

It’s the Tom Dwyer Newsletter YEAR IN REVIEW!

Sure, every business has a newsletter these days, or a “blog” as the cool kids call it.  But how often do you really want to read about bugs from your exterminator or depreciation from your accountant?  That’s why Tom gave two directives for this newsletter; first, to make it about more than cars and second, to make it worth your while.  That’s why we have so many columns covering so many issues from cars (he didn’t say never so car articles!) to social issues, food, health, books, and so much more.  We like to say our newsletter is unlike any other you’ve ever read, but saying that doesn’t tell you what you’ll find.  The best way to do that is to show you what we’ve already covered, so each year we put everything into one bucket for your perusal.  Here’s every article on every subject we’ve covered in 2025.  You may not like all of them, you almost certainly won’t read all of them, but we guarantee there will be something that will catch your eye.  Everything below is a hyperlink to the original article, so please dive in!

We put out two, sometimes three, Feature articles every month.  They can be on any subject at all, but we try to do at least one MECHANICAL article and one GENERAL article each month.  Our Mechanical articles cover anything to do with your vehicle, though we try to give you information to make sensible driving or repair decisions.  We go wild with the General articles, as you can see below.

Here’s 2025’s Mechanical articles…

And here’s 2025’s General Interest Articles

If you never read our monthly Humorousness column you see the problem; an unread column meant our writing staff wasn’t doing their jobs.  So, we fired them all and brought in a new crew of edgy Millennials who’d work for just a sliver of the bloated salary we gave those past writers.  Now our new improved Funny Page brings you memes, jokes, and anything else we find funny, but the stars are Keith Tucker, an Emmy-winning cartoonist who does a new special-to-us Toon every month, and Jen Rombach, a cut-paper artistic wizard who creates a new word magic puzzle each month.  Click on either button below to see their full offerings, OR you could always click here for the latest, fullest Funny Page, going all the way back to March 2020!

“My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”  Do you believe that?  We don’t.  Basic science, even basic consensual reality, seems under attack these days.  Objective reality is inconvenient for those who would like their whims to create reality instead, but society has always and only existed in the real world.  Our Department of Reality Studies is here to show exactly how far the horizons of reality extend, and exactly how exciting they can be.  It’s a little different than our other columns; instead of one post each month it’s a constantly growing list of the most cutting edge research on physics, robotics, biology, cosmology and more.   Click here to get started, and stop when you stop being amazed!
