Cooling, Heating & Electrical

From temperature control to charging systems, we diagnose and repair the components that keep your engine protected, your cabin comfortable, and your vehicle dependable.

Comfort in the Cabin, Confidence on the Road

Your cooling, heating, and electrical systems all play critical roles in keeping your vehicle reliable. At Tom Dwyer Automotive Services, our ASE-Certified Technicians inspect, diagnose, and repair these systems with precision and care – helping you avoid breakdowns, overheating, electrical failures, and comfort issues in any season.

Cooling System Care

Your cooling system keeps engine temperatures stable and prevents costly internal damage. We monitor coolant flow, pressure, and component performance to keep your engine protected.

Heating & Cabin Comfort

Your heater relies on coolant flow and climate components that also influence engine temperature. We restore heat, clear fogged windows, and ensure proper HVAC performance.

Electrical & Charging Systems

From starting the engine to powering safety features, your electrical system must deliver dependable voltage every time. We diagnose battery, alternator, starter, and wiring issues before they leave you stranded.

Welcoming new clients with vehicles 15 years old or newer;
servicing existing clients’ vehicles of any year.

Our apologies, but we do not work on Salvage Title vehicles of any kind.

Engine Cooling

Your cooling system keeps your engine from overheating in the hottest temperatures and most punishing conditions.  Even small leaks or partially functional parts can lead to overheating and extensive engine damage.  We evaluate components such as the radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump, and cooling fans to pinpoint weak components and return the system to proper operation.

The Tom Dwyer Way

We inspect your cooling system end-to-end, looking for leaks, flow restrictions, failing sensors, deteriorated hoses, and worn pumps or thermostats. When repairs are needed, we use reliable, high-quality components to ensure durable, long-term engine protection.

Common Cooling Problems

Coolant leaks
Temperature gauge fluctuations
Overheating
Sweet-smelling odors from coolant
Low coolant warnings
Poor cabin heat caused by coolant flow issues

What we Service

Radiators / Thermostats
Water pumps
Cooling fans / fan clutches
Coolant hoses
Temperature sensors
Coolant flush & conditioning testing

Cabin Heat & Air Conditioning

Your vehicle’s internal environment depends for heat on coolant circulating through the heater core, and for cooling on a sealed and independent AC system. Aside from leaving you shivering in the cold or  sweating in the heat, failures in heating or cooling can make your defrosters ineffective, or spill a stream of coolant into your cabin… among other problems.

The Tom Dwyer Way

We meticulously check coolant levels and flow, heater cores, blend doors, AC compressors and HVAC controls, and identify the source of fogging or lost heat or AC. Repairs are made with long-term reliability in mind.

Common Heating Issues

Low or no cabin heat
Foggy windows that won’t clear
Coolant odor inside cabin
Temperature inconsistency
Heater only working while driving

What we Service

Heater cores
Heater control valves
HVAC blend doors
Climate control components
Coolant flow to heater system
Complete AC diagnosis and repair
Refrigerant replacement
Cabin air filter

Electrical & Charging Systems

Your electrical system doesn’t just start your car and run your headlights, it powers your ignition, sensors, warning systems, lighting, HVAC, cameras, audio, computer systems, even your heated seats.  Electrical failures can come from anything from failed components to blown fuses to loose wires, and can show themselves in anything from hard starts to intermittent dashboard lights to sudden and complete failure of the whole vehicle. We diagnose electrical issues with specialized testing to ensure accurate, dependable repairs.

The Tom Dwyer Way

We fully test charging output, inspect power distribution, evaluate wiring integrity, and confirm battery and starter performance under load.  For the hard-to-find intermittent electrical problems, our Technicians follow methodical diagnostic processes to track down the most complex electrical problems.

Common Electrical Problems

Slow or no starting
Battery light or charging warnings
Dim or flickering lights
Intermittent electrical malfunctions
Clicking sound when starting
